On 6 February 2025, business and cultural leaders from 8 countries gathered at the historic Tallinn Town Hall for the “Children for Children” charity dinner and concert. The evening was part of the programme of the Baltic Sea Chambers Annual Meeting 2025.
Why we raised funds
Paediatric gastroenterology treats children with gastrointestinal and liver diseases, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. The number of children diagnosed in Estonia has grown from 4–5 cases a year to about 25 cases a year. At the time, Tallinn Children’s Hospital had only one colonoscope for weekly procedures, and a new paediatric gastroenterologist was due to join the hospital in late 2025.
The fundraising goal was €30,000 for a new paediatric colonoscope, to make diagnosis faster and treatment more precise for young patients.
The evening
- Classical music performed by Ukrainian musicians Margarita Pochebut (violin) and Yelyzaveta Pochebut (piano).
- Mayor of Tallinn Jevgeni Ossinovski attended as a special guest.
- CoinsPaid supported the event as the main sponsor. Tallinn City Hall and Enterprise Estonia were partners.
With the generosity of the guests, the evening raised €30,000 for the Tallinn Children’s Hospital Foundation.
What the funds did
In July 2025 we visited Tallinn Children’s Hospital to see the new colonoscopy device bought with the money raised at the concert. The equipment allows around 100 children a year to receive faster and more accurate diagnoses.
The project brought together more than 100 people from 8 countries: entrepreneurs, supporters and friends of the association. Our thanks go to everyone who took part and contributed, and to the doctors, medical staff and the Tallinn Children’s Hospital Foundation for the work they do every day.
